PAINTING PROCEDURE:

  • Once subject is selected, a drawing is sketched on drawing paper. Then the process of underpainting is begun using transparent glazes of oil paint, "blocking in" shadow, light, and middle values to create tonal contrast, and building layers of oil color glazes mixed with Liquin medium. The final layers are added with detail refinement to create your painting or oil portrait.
  • Painting will be completed and presented using quality canvas, sprayed with Re-touch Varnish for protection, and unframed.
